Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup, using a handheld tool to create hair strokes in the brow, to create a fuller, more natural look.

It is a method of depositing pigments into the skin. It is done using a very fine blade that impacts colour closer to the surface. The strokes appear crisp and very fine. There is no spilling under the skin just beautiful, realistic, 3D hair strokes. This method is ideal for anyone looking to enhance and define the look of their brows.

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match the original eyebrow colour, even if you still have brow hairs it blends into them naturally.

What is the difference between Microblading and the digital machine method?

Microblading is a process of implanting pigment into the upper layer of the skin - the epidermis.  This is the layer of skin that is visible to all and is constantly shedding and renewing itself, because of the process of cell turnover, the permanent make-up pigments will fade quicker, as apposed to the digital machine method which deposits pigments into the second layer of the skin - the dermis.  The cells of the dermis are more stable than the cells of the epidermis, so the pigment colour stays in place longer.

This method gives you more freedom to change your brow colour, and shape if you wish, sooner than that of the machine method.

How long does it last?
Between 12-18 months. Each person will hold the pigment differently, some longer than others, and that can be due to age, skin, and lifestyle.

It is vital that you have your first top-up 6 weeks after your first treatment, and that you follow the correct aftercare. Additional Top-ups may be required in some cases.

A Colour Boost is recommended yearly to retain the shape and pigment colour.
Is it Painful?

While there is some discomfort felt, it would not be regarded as pain. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to numb the area before hand, and small scratches may be felt during the treatment.

Do you have to remove all of my brow hair first?

Not at all. We work with existing brow hair to create natural, realistic looking brows. If you have alopecia, please be assured that although there may not be brow hair present, the treatment will also be ideal for you!

Is it suitable for me?

Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill in over tweezed brows.
However, not everyone is suitable for the Epibrow treatment.

Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Conjunctivitis, Skin Infections & Disease, Recent Scar Tissue, Pacemakers and Chemotherapy are just some of the contraindications to this treatment.

Please get in contact should you have any medical issues you are un-sure about, and we can discuss the suitability to the treatment.
