frequently Asked Questions

Microblading is a process of implanting pigment into the upper layer of the skin – the epidermis.  This is the layer of skin that is visible to all and is constantly shedding and renewing itself, because of the process of cell turnover, the permanent make-up pigments will fade quicker, as apposed to the digital machine method which deposits pigments into the second layer of the skin – the dermis.  The cells of the dermis are more stable than the cells of the epidermis, so the pigment colour stays in place longer.

This method gives you more freedom to change your brow colour, and shape if you wish, sooner than that of the machine method.

Between 12-18 months. Each person will hold the pigment differently, some longer than others, and that can be due to age, skin, and lifestyle.

It is vital that you have your first top-up 6 weeks after your first treatment, and that you follow the correct aftercare. Additional Top-ups may be required in some cases.

A Colour Boost is recommended yearly to retain the shape and pigment colour.

While there is some discomfort felt, it would not be regarded as pain. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to numb the area before hand, and small scratches may be felt during the treatment.
