frequently Asked Questions
Microblading is a process of implanting pigment into the upper layer of the skin – the epidermis. This is the layer of skin that is visible to all and is constantly shedding and renewing itself, because of the process of cell turnover, the permanent make-up pigments will fade quicker, as apposed to the digital machine method which deposits pigments into the second layer of the skin – the dermis. The cells of the dermis are more stable than the cells of the epidermis, so the pigment colour stays in place longer.
This method gives you more freedom to change your brow colour, and shape if you wish, sooner than that of the machine method.
While there is some discomfort felt, it would not be regarded as pain. A topical anesthetic cream is applied to numb the area before hand, and small scratches may be felt during the treatment.
Not at all. We work with existing brow hair to create natural, realistic looking brows. If you have alopecia, please be assured that although there may not be brow hair present, the treatment will also be ideal for you!
Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill in over tweezed brows.
However, not everyone is suitable for the microblading, especially if they have oily skin.
Contraindications are Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Conjunctivitis, Skin Infections & Disease, Recent Scar Tissue, Pacemakers and Chemotherapy are just some of the contraindications to this treatment.
Please get in contact should you have any medical issues you are un-sure about, and we can discuss the suitability to the treatment.
The treatment will take approximately an hour and a half to 2hrs.
Of course, this a complimentary service we offer to all clients. Use this time to ask any questions you may have. This is also an ideal opportunity for us to cover anything that may affect the treatment, complete relevant patch testing, discuss your brow desires and make a plan for your brow journey.
Should you decide to go ahead and book, a non-refundable deposit of £50 will be taken to secure your appointment. (You will also be advised not to consume alcohol for 24 hours prior to the treatment, sorry!!)
